The NRC is shutdown due to the lapse in appropriations. Exempted activities to maintain critical health and safety activities and progress on critical activities, including activities outlined in Executive Order 14300, as described in the OMB Approved NRC Lapse Plan will continue.

Committed effective dose equivalent (CEDE)

As defined in Title 10, Section 20.1003, of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR 20.1003), the CEDE (H_E,50) is the sum of the products of the committed dose equivalents for each of the body organs or tissues that are irradiated multiplied by the weighting factors (W_T) applicable to each of those organs or tissues (H_E,50 = ΣW_TH_T.50).
