Environmental Impact Statement
NUREG-1437, "Generic Environmental Impact Statement for License Renewal of Nuclear Plants Regarding Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3 (NUREG-1437, Supplement 38) Draft Report for Comment," was published in December 2008. This supplement documents the NRC staff's review of the environmental issues at Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3, regarding the Entergy application for license renewal of that facility. The supplement was prepared in accordance with 10 CFR 51.71. This supplemental environmental impact statement includes the Staff's analysis that considers and weighs the environmental effects of the proposed action (license renewal), the environmental impacts of alternatives to the proposed action, and potential mitigative measures for reducing or avoiding adverse impacts. It also includes the Staff's preliminary recommendation regarding the proposed action.

Safety Evaluation Report
The NRC staff reviewed the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3 license renewal application for compliance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 54, "Requirements for Renewal of Operating Licenses for Nuclear Power Plants," and prepared this report to document its findings. The document was issued on August 11, 2009, as "Safety Evaluation Report Related to the License Renewal of Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3."
In November 2009, the report "Safety Evaluation Report Related to the License Renewal of Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3" was issued as NUREG-1930.

Public Involvement
The public is encouraged to participate in the reactor license
renewal process through public meetings, and public comment periods on
rules, renewal guidance, and other documents. The Reactor
License Renewal Public Involvement page provides general information
to help the public participate.
