Randy Gauntt

Randall Gauntt has a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University and 28 years experience performing research in the area of LWR severe accident phenomenology ranging from in-pile experimentation of fuel melt progression and fission product release and transport to the system level modeling of severe accident progression in nuclear power plants. His group at Sandia develops the MELCOR and MACCS codes for the USNRC and supports numerous code application efforts for the RES, NRR and NRO offices of the NRC, including the SOARCA effort currently underway.
