TH41 Security—Kinetic Change
The session will provide insights into the many influences that determine the future of security in regulations. The discussions will describe the design-basis threat formulation process, the pros and cons of remotely operated weapons systems from a regulator’s perspective, and the future direction of security based on lessons learned from the security baseline inspection program. In addition, the session will offer information on the proposed rule on materials categorization and what it means to the nuclear industry, and policy decisions affecting spent fuel transportation without a centralized repository for nuclear waste.
