TH37 NRC Budgeting and Fees Management Improvements

The nuclear industry has identified the increase in NRC fees as a key issue of concern. Effective budget planning and execution significantly affect NRC license fees. This panel will provide an overview of the NRC and industry budget development and execution and its relationship to fees. The NRC will outline its budgeting process and the impact of industry changes on the execution of the budget. Industry participants will discuss how unexpected NRC fees can affect safety enhancements and their budgeting needs. This session is intended to open the dialogue between industry and the NRC to improve NRC fees management.
