TH33 NRC and Federal Incident Response during Real World Events and Exercises
The NRC, in coordination with the nuclear industry, recognizes the need to inform licensees on how the NRC and other Federal agencies respond to real world events and participate during emergency response exercises. This session will provide an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the NRC response, the general Federal response, and the response of some specific Federal departments and agencies, with an overall focus on expected requests for information. This session will also highlight how the NRC communicates with licensees and other stakeholders during incidents, including expected licensee communications.
