2014 Fuel Cycle Information Exchange (FCIX)
FCIX 2014 dates were Tuesday June 10 and Wednesday June 11, 2014
The 9th Annual Fuel Cycle Information Exchange (FCIX) was held June 10-11, 2014, at the U.S Nuclear Regulatory Commission Auditorium, located at 11545 Rockville Pike in Rockville, Maryland. The FCIX continues to be held annually, with several hundred attendees representing government, industry, and other fuel cycle industry stakeholders from the United States and other countries each year.
The FCIX was hosted by the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS), Division of Fuel Cycle Safety and Safeguards (FCSS). This event provided an opportunity for NRC staff, industry representatives, licensees, and other stakeholders to openly discuss regulatory issues of mutual interest, as they relate to key sectors of the nuclear fuel cycle, including: licensing, certification and inspection of nuclear fuel facilities for uranium conversion and enrichment; nuclear fuel fabrication and deconversion of depleted uranium tails.
