Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act Compliance

Section 212 of the Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act (SBREFA) requires the NRC to publish one (or more) small entity compliance guides for each rule or group of related rules for which the NRC is required to prepare a final regulatory flexibility analysis under Section 605(b) of title 5, United States Code.

The NRC complies with the SBREFA requirement by compiling a list of those rulemakings that have an impact on small entities. The list includes the associated guidance documents issued by the NRC to aid small entities in complying with the rules that may impact them.  This list is updated periodically and is readily available to the public on the following page: Small Entity Compliance Guides and Section 610 Periodic Reviews.  In addition, the NRC submits a report annually to the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship of the Senate and the Committee on Small Business of the House of Representatives describing the status of the agency's compliance with Section 212 of the SBREFA.
